Responsible Gaming
Gaming should be entertainment — not a financial strategy. We're committed to keeping it that way.
Understanding AU and How It Works
Aurum uses AU — a virtual gaming currency. You purchase AU with SOL, use AU to play games on the Platform, and can redeem unused AU back to SOL at any time. This is similar to how casinos use chips, or how gaming platforms use in-game coins. While AU can be redeemed back to SOL, it is a virtual currency for entertainment purposes. The house has a mathematical edge on all games, meaning the Platform is not a reliable way to make money. Never purchase AU with funds you cannot afford to lose.
Gaming Is Entertainment — Not Investment
Every game on Aurum has a built-in house edge. This means that over time, the Platform will mathematically retain a percentage of all AU wagered. Short-term wins are possible and part of the entertainment experience, but long-term profit is not the intended outcome. Treat AU purchases the same way you would treat spending money on any other form of entertainment — with a budget you are comfortable losing entirely.
Know the Signs of Problem Gaming
Gaming may be becoming a problem if you find yourself: spending more AU than you planned or can afford; purchasing more AU to chase losses; neglecting work, family, health, or other responsibilities; feeling anxious, irritable, or depressed when not playing; lying to people close to you about how much you play or spend; borrowing money or selling possessions to fund AU purchases; or feeling unable to stop playing even when you want to. If any of these apply to you, please stop playing and seek support immediately.
Set Limits Before You Play
Responsible gaming starts before your first session. Decide in advance the maximum AU you are willing to purchase in a day, week, or month — and treat that limit as absolute. Take regular breaks. Never play when you are emotionally distressed, tired, or under the influence of alcohol or other substances. Do not use gaming as a way to cope with stress, anxiety, or financial pressure.
Practice Mode — Play for Free
Every game on Aurum includes a Practice Mode that allows you to play without using any AU. Use Practice Mode to learn games, try strategies, or simply enjoy the experience without any financial commitment. Practice Mode outcomes do not affect your AU balance in any way.
Self-Exclusion and Account Closure
If you need to take a break from Aurum, contact us at support@playaurum.io and we will: temporarily suspend your account for a period of your choosing; permanently close your account if requested; return any remaining AU balance as SOL upon closure. We honor all self-exclusion requests promptly and without question. We will not send marketing communications to self-excluded users.

Our Commitment to You
Aurum actively monitors platform activity for signs of problem gaming behavior. Where we identify concerning patterns, we may proactively reach out, impose limits, or suspend access — always in the player's best interest. We do not advertise to vulnerable populations. We support independent verification of our provably fair game systems. We believe that a platform players can trust is more valuable than short-term revenue.
